True that GWC is credited with inventing peanut butter - but it could be argued that the Incas made peanut butter. GWC DID develop several hundred ways to use peanuts (including rubber products, insulation, and dyes) - thereby making it a far more valuable and useful crop.

@Mamapolo2016 I remember my 2nd grade teacher saying GWC invented peanut butter so Ive always believed this. Actually, many people think GWC invented PB but it's false. It was Marcellus Gilmore Edson who invented PB.

Absolutely true. I've heard him being "credited" with the invention plenty of times. I've also heard that its not true.
