Do you know your 'what3words' address?

If you have a smart phone with GPS, install the app. It could potentially save your life. Even if you don't ever use it, it's fun to know what the unique 3m x 3m square of land is called where you enter your home.

I've stress tested it and it has the ability to seemlessly cut and paste your location in to a txt should you find yourself in an emergency situation with no 3g/4g mobile data or WiFi.

I know you could use other GPS apps with longitude and latitudes etc, but three words is so much easier to txt or talk on the phone.

These guys have given every 3m square of land and water on earth a three word name. It's a genius!

Later today I'm meeting my lover for lunch at strain.tops.smashes

This is kind of interesting, I guess? There are already apps that once activated will send your location to someone, and continue sending it in case you move. It does it automatically once activated, no copy and paste required.

I went to their site and they couldn't even find my address.

@SooperSarah oh, not sure why that is. If you've down loaded the app make sure your location sharing is on for the app. In terms of the other apps you mentioned. I think you'll need a mobile data signal for those for streaming etc. This is for those remote situations where there's no 3g/4g
@Ironicman I'm on a computer and tried to physically type in my address on their map.
The location they automatically got was way off, but that's because of my vpn.

@SooperSarah OK, maybe try it on a smart phone if you have. I already use life 360 for family location and what's apps tool for sharing location. But this app is really great for when you have no mobile data coverage but still have txt. Brilliant for music festivals and finding friends in the remote countryside.
