Are you familiar with the (relatively new) Positive Psychology?

Having minored in Psych. I like to keep an eye open on recent "Best practices" therapies. I never pursued a higher degree since I was disenchanted with old classic analysis. Worked in a few institutions that disgusted me, (Phenothiazine meds. handed out like candy to keep "patients" quiet) and lot's more.

In private clinics never saw any real cures. Recently I came across, "Positive Psychology" the entire foundation is based on "Happiness" any lay person can use it, it gives an overview and suggested exercises for achieving happiness and how to keep it on YouTube so the cost is nil.

My own username here is an actual tool I use daily to remind me of all the things I have to be grateful for. The more grateful you become, the more you have to be grateful FOR! Just a suggestion for anyone needing a little help.

Obviously, it's not a cure- all for serious Catatonia, Schizophrenia, and other DMSV maladaptive behaviors.

I’m aware of it, my psychiatrist mentioned it to me.
@Mooooooooooooo Hope you look into it. Most of them will pooh- pooh the idea calling it a "New Age" fad when in truth they are simple things to implement into your life that can be lifelong enhancements. My life has improved dramatically over the course of only 8 months.
I’m lucky with my psychiatrist in that he’s open to new studies. @Grateful4you
@Mooooooooooooo He sounds like a keeper!😇
I’ve known him many years he’s helped me so much. @Grateful4you
@Mooooooooooooo As a Pisces/Scorpio I wear insanity like an old familiar robe. Since I love to write, I'm happy my engergy attracts eccentric types, the crazy lady on the bus always sits next to me and shares the most AMAZING stories.

I'm like a Palm in a hurricane, I bend till nearly breaking, but the sun comes up and there I am halfway sane and intact!
