Not against it but I also don't actively go out of my way trying to have a difference either

If you find the one who shares your feelings of love, and you're both adults, age shouldn't keep you apart.
Doesn’t work like that for everyone.
SW-User
I'm well aware. I'm just curious
yujisakai · 31-35, M
Age shouldn't matter. Personality is mostly important. If someone cares for you and you both have a good time then age shouldn't matter because finding someone the same age who is a good match is hard.
akindheart · 61-69, F
@yujisakai best answer please!
indyjoe · 56-60, M
I never went for anyone more than 10 years one direction or the other. You can't help who you may develop feelings for, but love is also a choice and you can choose who you decide to give that love to and share it with.
I like younger men. They can care for me in my old age😏
SW-User
That would be nice but I've yet to find someone in my age group that has attracted me. I prefer a little older and mature men. Yet, I'll never marry again.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
Thanks for BA!! I was being fresh, lol. 🤗

No worries (:

When I’m ready to start dating again, my rule of thumb will be someone not old enough to be my parent or young enough to be my kid.
Makes sense. lol most people against that ideology
SW-User
I'm just curious about their opinion.
Foxxxyxxx · M

Very sensible.
plungesponge · 41-45, M
no because women live longer so I gotta find someone 10 years younger, so we can die together romantically
SW-User
@plungesponge haha, this is true actually

Love doesn’t always work in the exact age bracket but of course I prefer to have as many potential years with my love than fewer.
indyjoe · 56-60, M
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Very good point...love can always not work out in any age group, but the larger the gap the more at risk it is. Mainly because different ages are products of different eras and generations meaning their views and interests may not come together well (and a couple has to be on the same page pretty much for a relationship to endure).
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 31-35, F
Growing ahead or behind isn’t as ideal as growing together @indyjoe
PirateMonkeyCabinet · 36-40, M
Quality of relationship over age similarity. I'm not actively seeking age difference but I'd rather have an age gap and the best relationship possible, rather than settling for an "okay" relationship just to satisfy a want for as little an age gap as possible. And yes, even if that does imply that one of us will reach later stages of life before the other. Heck, one of us might die in a car accident tomorrow and the whole "aging together" thing will be moot.
