@Backtoscratch I think it has to do with entering data easier. I honestly don't know. Why do you guys write it your way? I don't think it's that big of a deal.

@Backtoscratch oh well. Guess you don't know why you write it that way, either, eh? 🤣

@Backtoscratch that's so weird. We're also taught to write it month, date, year here. Maybe the website that wants it differently has a different way of sorting data? That's the only thing I can think of. American stuff is behind on everything though lmao

@Backtoscratch I don't know either. Day-month-year would be less confusing.
Also, Americans, when using knife and fork are the only people who use the cross-over system - fork in right hand, knife in left, then when cutting something, they switch the knife to the right hand. I've spend some time in a few countries, Americans are the only ones who do that. Exceptionalism.

@Backtoscratch Possibly because that’s the way you would say it: (for example) October 26, 2019 = 10/26/19.
That’s how it was once explained to me.

@Backtoscratch When I write it on checks, on reports, letters, etc. I post October 26, 2019. Always have, and that’s how many of us in the U.S. do it. It’s another insignificant difference in our cultures, I imagine. You’re certainly not changing us, and we’ve no desire to change you. Can’t we just accept each other’s differences and move on ?
