Anyone else find this amusing?

The same people who claim to be atheists will simultaneously believe in zodiac signs, curses, magic, tarot cards, lucky/unlucky numbers, etc. Shit or get off the pot, famalam.

Yes ...when people post Christian or religious-themed threads atheists cannot resist stopping by to insult and dispute this belief.

If God doesn't exist. then why worry? If there is no God, then why bother refuting his existence? So far I have never felt the urge to comment on a thread about Bigfoot or Alien Abduction. Why? Cause I don't believe in either and don't feel it is important (or threatened by it) enough to waste my time or upset others who do.

Why, then do atheists not follow the same principle. Who are they trying to convince with their intolerant and always snarky comments?

We who believe?

Or themselves?
@Abrienda Lucifer was the illuminator of the throne of God. It was second in command and became a necessary character in ancient middle eastern literature. If you look at the big picture, "These things must needs be come, but woe unto him by whom they come."

Atheism is actually very similar to religions in many ways. Kind of similar to civil religions in that sense.

Yeah, anyone who believes in that and calls themselves an atheist is mislabeling themselves. They're really just saying they don't believe in the major religions.

I've never really seen that, but it has amused me in the past that I'd find people who felt that they'd been picked on by various sects of Christianity, belittled and mocked for their beliefs in [whatever, pagan things, smudge cleansing, etc, etc], stereotyped, and made to feel unwelcome in groups... but then they liked to turn around and do the exact same thing. to/against people. kinda made little sense to me. but then again, people rarely do.

Or the ridiculous amount of time they spend talking about religion. Like lowkey they're religious
The vast majority of atheists I have known, do not believe in anything 'supernatural'. True atheists are not the same as those who are like children who say things to their parents like,......... "You're the worst mom ever! I hate you." They don't have a beef with God. They just don't believe in anything that is not supported by academic science.
Sometimes these aforementioned children will claim to be atheists because it suits their narrative, but the fact is, they are just spoiled children throwing tantrums and saying hateful things to their creator because of some unmet expectation.
I think you mean people who just don't believe in the religion. There's a difference between atheists and non religious.

What I find amusing is how Christians are so against abortion even though god himself killed innocent babies in Egypt,,yal may be pro life but the bible proves god has always been pro death..

@puck61 People like the Venusian and others who bleat about how compassionate and humane they are.
@Abrienda Well, yeah..................I believe humanity is paying a dear price because the "genocides" of ancient times were not extensive enough. Nature makes it very clear that "thinning the herd" is a necessary thing.

@puck61 How else can you explain the existence of someone like Eric Swalwell? Or Angela Merkel?🤔
