Extremely, even by the standards of people that claim theirs is. My play lists can include everything from black metal to gospel, rap to old school country. Classical to trance.

If[youtube=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrniC87g6X0] you free yourself from the imposed limitations that major media wants to control your mind with you might discover that almost all music is recyclable and adaptable. Ro both high standards and within fused samples within compositional samples.

I'm aware that Ode to Joy and other masters were heavily sampled in many rock songs.

Led Zepplin made rudimentary blues into vastly complex modern rock and roll.

Walter Murphy takes Mozart and Beethoven, bach and Brahms to the disco.

Ritchie B and others even updated some of the classics.

I have a number of different motivations for listening to music and no single style covers them all.

Absolutely!
When I was younger, I lived and died by a few bands and would defend them to the death. Now, I just like what I like! Less stress...
No, 90% of time I listen to 60's & 70's rock/blues the othe 10% is newer similar music.

It is. I'm a rocker, but I listen to bits of jazz, classical, pop, sometimes I'll check out some hip hop. Nothing is off the table.
DDonde · 31-35, M
You could say that.

🤔 my musical taste can be best described as follows: not Jazz (or Beyonce). that is all 😁
SteelHands · 61-69, M
@tenente Beyonce wouldn't exist in her present style without Coltrane's porkpie hat. In fact nobody draws from jazz more than she does.

@SteelHands updated 😁
