They call this the laughing version ..it was very sad
I watched this concert on TV ,,Elvis was so messed up ,,
He was concerned about his weight ,and then he does this "come back "
as screwed up as a soup sandwich ,,

And no I am not lonesome ,I had to learn to enjoy my own company
and to not impersonate Elvis LOL
His deterioration was sad. Still one of the greatest songs off all time imho.@rckt148

@LukeTheDuke I agree he was a showman ,especially for the day we lived in and his voice was a gift from God ,
but his last concert made me so sad ,to see such a great man go down so bad ,and in front of the world .
When I was going through my first divorce I watched a movie about him and his break up from Priscilla
except me not being anywhere near as famous ,our lives were a lot alike .
(except he loved his Mom and my relationship with mine was a love /hate relationship at best ,but we had a lot in common and I wanted to be him as a small boy ,I was preforming at 10 ,played on national TV at 13 .
I did a lot of his songs and was told I had his voice down pat ,some say I still do .

I think I do a good impersonation of him and was told I should have impersonated him and not followed my own career ,preforming my own music
I have been told as good as I do him ,with so many making a living at it that suck ,I passed up a golden opportunity ,
I may have had my shot of being just like him ,but my health took me out way to soon ..hard to preform when you can barely walk ,and no one packs out stadiums sitting on a bar stool .but I "did it my way "too .
I don't think I missed a thing .
I was very successful just being me ,though I pale to anything Elvis did
even in the shape he was in doing his last concert .when you said King ,everyone knew you meant Elvis .
He was one of my idols ,and I caught a lot of crap over it .
Like being a fan of the Bee Gees back in the day ,they were not seen as the super stars and legends they are today ,women loved them ,but men were closet fans ,it was not cool for a guy to say he was an Elvis or Bee Gee's fan .

He sucked as an actor but everyone loved him ,and his voice was awesome to the end ,but he didn't write most of his songs ,and he could only play 3 cords on a guitar ,I was a much better musician .
Willy Nelson and a lot of unknowns back in the day wrote his songs .
Maybe I should have stepped up after he died and put on a good show
"Elvis Presley Review "like so many other cover bands do

I just wanted to be known for me ,,not a fallen king who threw it all away

since I know he was so screwed up he forgot the lyrics ,it was a sad show for me ,,he was really messed up bad ,,he was not clowning ,he was that messed up
it was billed as a "come back tour ".Live from Hawaii
it was a mess ,I felt sorry for him ,the king had fallen
and is famous now for dying on the toilet ,,,
something else I fear ,
I take narcotics for pain ,and when I am straining and everything goes black
I actually pray "God please don't let me die like Elvis "
You’ve put a lot of heart and soul into this reply. You’ve definitely got some of what Elvis had, 🕺 @rckt148

@LukeTheDuke I spend a lot of time alone now days
a has been that is no longer even remembered ,,well except a hand full of die hard fans I used to do a show for once a year ,but since my bass player died last year ,1 month from our last show ,I am all that's left of a 30 plus year band ,
I did a solo album ,traveled with my kids preforming contemporary gospel
but now I am packing it all up ,I do 2 performances a year now
New Years and the 4th of July ,a solo gig
So pardon me I got all caught up in my feelings ,I have a habit of doing that a lot now days ,,it sucks to get old and be disabled
But I wanted to thank you for the BA and you're kindness
you're indulging me was much appreciated
Have a blessed one
I pray you're not lonesome tonight ,,it sucks to have so many skills and talents ,to be reduced to telling stories about the good ole days
This is so moving, thanks for sharing. Don’t look at things as being reduced to old age and disability. Glory in the fact that you’ve given many people, including yourself, wonderful memories. Your talent and hard work contributed a lot to many people’s happiness. You are a king! @rckt148
