Do you support the death penalty?

As much as I don't want a bunch of cutthroats, rapists, child molesters roaming free, there's still a part of me that feels it's not our right to make sentences on other people's lives.

I guess I just can't get out of my head the fact that people have been executed for crimes they never committed. It's been happening since the beginning.

It's a tough subject for me.

I support it in theory, but not in practice.

Ultimately, I don't want to empower the State to kill its civilian citizens.

There's simply too much bias, corruption and human error at play when it comes to the criminal justice system here in the US, and there are issues in every country.

Not to mention how expensive it is to the taxpayer, and what an egregious violation of the 8th Amendment against Cruel and Unusual punishment it is.

Just wrong at many levels.

No. It doesn't mean I have compassion for serial killers. I'm not Meredith Grey.
