Do you believe in the law of attraction?

Doomflower36-40, M
Only if you're coming up with flowery ways of describing gravity.

@Doomflower Gravity is a myth

The Earth sucks.

No. I believe only idiots believe in it. Its a perversion of the power of positive thinking, which has internal applications, and externalising them. Here. Let me start your car with my mind. 馃え

It's fascinating, but I think trying to practice it is easier said than done.

The people who roll their eyes and say no are thinking of those corny books and new thought "mumbo jumbo".
But on a basic level everyone agrees with the Law of Attraction.
You reap what you sow- The Bible

Ask for what you want and be prepared to get it-Maya Angelou

Whatever you think you can or think you cant, either way you are right- Henry Ford
firefall61-69, M
@REMsleep the reason I roll my eyes, is because I DONT agree with it. The Bible might say you reap what you sow, but it's not true. You sometimes reap what you sow, sometimes theres a blight, sometimes there's a drought.

As for the loathesome Henry Ford's quote, that is facile stupidity. I think I can fly to the moon, so I can? I think I can't win the lottery, so I can't?
REMsleep41-45, F
@firefall I wasn't directing my comment at you although in hindsight it might have seemed that way. If you want to take words out of context and deliberately not understand I cant refute your comments.
I do believe that people reap what they sow. The public cant always see justice served. Sometimes we see and do not understand. Say a person becomes wealthy through ill gotten gains and they appear to live a great life. We do not know if everyone who calls them a friend truly hates their guts and they are very lonely. We do not know if they live under intense fear and suspicion due to how they acquired the money. I believe what the Bible says.
The Henry Ford quote is true. Meantioning going to the moon is silly. You very well know that this quote means that the only limits that you have are what you place on yourself and that often believing in ourselves can carry us a great long way. Maybe someone who wants to go to the moon would work hard to enter the space program.I know this to be true for my life. It is silly to use this statement to indicate that the laws of gravity or space can be defied by thought.
That's what let me know that you are not serious in your response.
Good day

@REMsleep Thank you, I'm sorry I misunderstood your intent. I take quotes as they are written, not as you think they were intended. If that makes you think I'm not serious, well, so be it.
