I'm talking about making a reasonable attempt to understand someone. @JustGoneNow
@ThePerfectUsername Sometimes things don’t translate well. Context is important and a direct translation may not carry the spirit of the message so to speak... causing some very serious miscommunications.
@ThePerfectUsername Not saying it can’t work but it requires much more understanding and patience in order for it to work at all well.

Yes. I know it was a very simple example but you asked "what are you talking about" in a language I don't speak a word of so I put it into google translate found out what you'd said and replied. Language barriers don't really exist on the 'net in many cases if the will to overcome them is there. @JustGoneNow

The love of my life was born totally deaf and died 50 years later exactly the same. But it didn't stop her describing me one day as being the first sound she'd ever heard. If there's a will there's a way. @JustGoneNow
@ThePerfectUsername All comes down to “will.” Even with native speakers of the same language, much meaning can be lost online due to confusion on the context.
@ThePerfectUsername There are many sounds for those with ears to hear them. ☮️
