It's odd, I'm not going to lie, but we've made purchases in the past for large areas of land from European powers. So there's kind of a historical precedent for it, but I don't really know what we would get out of it.

@DDonde Strategic military placement & natural resources. Truman tried buying it back in 1946 and was rejected.
