What's something you learned recently that bothered you?

While getting my transmission fixed, the guy showed me a lot that was going wrong. For instance: previous people used a water-based additive in the transmission fluid, causing some rust. The Overdrive snap ring was snapped. Also the fluid used by the last guy (a professional) was the wrong kind. FUN.
