If your AC crapped out, what's the best way to stay cool in the house?

Especially at night when it's time to sleep.

Now in my 60's I never had AC and have no care for it. I am "cool" in my house in the fall, winter and early spring. I want to bake when i can.

@Elandra77 I usually enjoy a bit warmer temps when sleeping...but the humidity is pretty bad. Of course we're having the hottest days of the month this week!

@FigNewton I have rain most of the week, yesterday being an exception. Friday is the next nice day.

The humidity is the worst!

@Elandra77 We have severe storms predicted for tonight and tomorrow. It comes with the high humidity I guess.
