Is it possible to be taught martial arts by doing house chores? Like in the karate kid? Or is it just pure fiction?

The chores stuff reflects the fact that well done body positions, breathing, focus and movements should extend to whatever you do.
But teaching MA mainly that way is certainly fictional.
