Why do people in the movies always pull out the arrows or knives they've been stabbed with and keep on going like nothing happened?

From what I've heard that's actually pretty dangerous and could worsen things up for the wounded person as the object keeps you from bleeding out. I know it's fiction, but don't you think that's kinda too unrealistic?

Almost everything in the movies is unrealistic.

@jackson55 Haha, but could you imagine if it was realistic? Action movies would probably be like 10 minutes long

@jackson55 I think there would be no heroes as they would die off pretty fast

[@It would certainly be different. Gunfights and car chases would be almost nonexistent.

@Brenda That's quite true for some things. But some of it is just alittle bit too far out there for reality.
