We have gotten the farm up
From being self sufficient to being a major income source . Luckily there are lots of tax advantages that go with that .

@blackychanx not necessarily . It can be a fast track to bankruptcy if mismanaged . But we’ve caught a couple of breaks and took advantage of some over looked opportunities ... and boom ... it’s a cash cow.
@TexChik Yea I see what you mean. I'm glad that it's a legitimate income for you and your family

I have a few large piles of scrap scattered around
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@blackychanx it also costs a pretty penny to get them. Minimum f450 with a heavy duty trailer, rail saws, bobcat with bucket and forks, rail system for at least one ATV,
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@MarineBob built a metal foundry for scrap a few years ago with a friend; scrap metal value much better if sold in ingots than loose scrap, especially aluminum and copper
@MarineBob That is a decent amount of cash and leg work to attain them. The investment is less than the profit I hope. Lol

security/body guard/bouncer, etc. is good money these days if you're physically intimidating and/or have military background and combat/martial arts experience.
had a pretty good side gig going several years ago as a private security guard

Music gigs. Someone needs a guitarist, bassist, pianist, or drummer *and* I have time to practice the material...I’m usually available for a nominal fee.
@SW-User You play those instruments well? I'd like to hear your music man

Dividends
@daisymay I'm working on a passive income through design work. How are you making your passive income?
daisymay · 51-55, T
@blackychanx Right now it's just money from dividends, once I pay off this house, I'm thinking of moving out and renting it.
I'm nowhere close to replacing my salary with dividends, it's just to help boost the retirement account.

@daisymay You have a pretty solid gameplan to keep the multiple streams of passive income rolling in. I'm definitely going to do a few investments so I can garner some dividends as well. Lol

returning aluminum cans
@SW-User Yea that is a few bucks
I flip cars
@Callmewhatyouwill You get old cars and refurbish them?
@blackychanx sometimes. But those are expensive and time consuming projects.
The regular money comes from the simple stuff.
A month ago I bought a Ford ranger for $500 it needed a new fuel pump.
I replaced the pump, did a service and cleaned/detailed it. All for less than $200 and resold it for $2500.
