Responsibility. All the things in your life that if you fail, bring consequence. It is power to know that your life, as well as the life of those in your care, depends on you.

@Reject I think responsibility is a form of power on its own as well. 😄 I think power and responsibility always go hand in hand

@SW-User That they do. How responsible have you been of yourself Alex?
SW-User
@Reject Not responsible enough. I don’t like myself 🙊

@SW-User Mmm! I’m just happy you can see that your heart is a responsibility. It depends on you to take care of it. Always remember this! It’s a task that cannot fall to anyone else because your heart belongs to you first and foremost. Only once you’ve paid for it can you afford to give pieces away.

@Reject So you’re basically saying I should learn to love myself first before loving anyone else?
Reject · 26-30, M
@SW-User Well yes, but more importantly, you should know what this means. Many don’t.

@Reject What does it mean to you?

@SW-User The ability to solve all your hearts desires by yourself so you no longer need to take from the world, only give. Every heart’s wish is unique to the individual it belongs to. So fulfilling it is a very personal path you must take alone. That being said, it is not hard to talk with your heart and discover your purpose. Nor is it hard to pursue this goal and forge your path. What’s hard is accepting failure. Faults. Mistakes. Mistreatment. Weakness. All the things that are wrong on your journey. For this is the true test of self love, forgiveness, a feat attributed only to those with so much love, they’ve let go of self importance. Many people believe love is reserved for those they would praise. People you admire and respect for their qualities, but adoration isn’t love. Love is when you appreciate someone for the things they don’t do right. The qualities they lack. All their imperfections... this is true love because it’s no longer based on what someone can do for you, rather, it’s about what you can do for them. This makes your care genuine and selfless. Understand?

We as people suffer when we lack something which makes us selfish with need. If you approach yourself with the attitude of “what should be” then you will always lack because that’s not love at all as it’s not who you are.

Instead approach yourself with an appreciation for “what is” and love even your negative traits, then you’ll have the most because your care is sincere being given to who you really are. We as people are happy when we are accepted which makes us selfless and giving.

So the next time you encounter a wrong on your path, whether it’s in you or another. You ask yourself if you can forgive that. If you cannot, then remember it is never the wrong which is to blame. It is the intolerance of all those unfortunate souls who aren’t truly loved because they only care for what should be, not what is.

@Reject Well said 🤗 I agree with all of your points. I’m trying to love myself, I truly am.

@SW-User It’s definitely not easy. Like any other relationship it’s something you must always work on. Be honest with yourself and focus on loving the real you, then you’ll be able to do the same for others. Learning this struggle and how to overcome it is part of growing up, yet many adults never do. I wish you the best on your journey Alex, and I hope that even if you never master this practice, you one day come to know how wonderful it feels to be loved for all your wrongs instead of your rights. Anyone can care when you’re attractive in this way or talented in that way, however you reach their standards, but only the truly kind who appreciate you even when you aren’t those things can claim to love to who you are. I believe everyone deserves this. 🤗
