I think the term is pilotless.. not driverless.. and maybe cargo companies could get away with it first but I doubt the general public would want to get on a plane without anyone in front. How many times does your phone or computer freeze up? Imagine if a plane does that and there is no one there to fix it or override it.

Planes are not "driverless". Not at all. You still need a pilot to control it.
