1. The task is simple but it takes forever to do it.

2. The situation is easy, but the way they thinking is more tricky.

3. The answer is there, yet they choose other answer.

Perhaps they like to see things in a different light or think of all possibilities, like stretching 15 cents into a dollar. That which is easy for some can be difficult for others, like algebra. Some become used to different results from different ways of doing things, like the Al Bundy effect.
