I'm an Athiest who was attacked and clinically killed by a raging man who's hatred and obsession had been smoldering and festering for years yet I was in denial of how deep and obsessed he was of actually killing me.

It started out innocently enough. He had advanced degree's, Sociology Ph.D Psych.Ba. All I had was a nursing assistant certificate and a HELL of a lot of "hands- on" by nurses who believed in my apparent flair for nursing skills.

The Facility we worked for was a HUGH institution like the kind they used to build in the days when institutions were no more than warehouses to control a thousand or more populations of retarded, feeble- minded, or other profoundly disabled, incapable taking care of themselves.

There was surplus in the budget one year and one kind hearted Dr. wanted to see this go toward Direct Care training to enhance Pt. Care.

Several of us were tested, and luckily I was one who was deemed qualified. (probably because of my reading skills which I never share with anyone by Gram, and she helped me learn.

We were tested several times. Ny heart sank because I knew I wouldn't be taken into this special class.

The day came and those who were selected had their names POSTED.

I just stood there. Catatonic. Tears started running.

Most highly regarded Atheist are going to say. When you die. That is it.

I'm an Atheist who "died on the ER table." (Yes the brought me back) They would say, "That's it game over"

My experience showed me, no flashbacks, no visions of people I knew. And above all, no omnipotent Jehovah, Shiva, Ra, or other :god Image. and most importantly,nothing that had me standing and being judged before Jesus/God.

There was the most incredible colors, lights and sounds. Nothing man made.

If you have ever heard of the "Pineal gland" this might well be the closest thing to a "god" like eperience as the astounding visuals are absolutely euphoric. and beyond description.

I resisted coming back, but I did. This experiince affirmed my atheism.

I wish I could offer you something life changing, and a further strp in the consciousness.

The only thing I can say is BE HAPPY BE AT ONE.
