Should I be the one to pay?

A guy who is renting my place while I am overseas just rang me and said he locked himself out and I must pay for the locksmith because I didn't leave spare keys. Is that true? My parents are old and asleep and I am not going to bother them as they never wanted me to rent it out..😖 is that my responsibility? I am overseas and he wants me to pay by credit card

Absolutely not. He's the one who's responsible for the key. If he wants to get back in, he should have to pay the locksmith for getting him in. Irresponsibility comes with a price.
