Ever hear of the Indigo Children?

In the 80's this was a big thing with the so- called New Age movement. It suggested that some kids were being born with superior knowledge or gifts, supposedly highly evolved.

I was very opposed to the idea. 1. Because there was no real evidence of such a thing.
2. It could have led to behavioral problems with the "Indigo" thinking he/she was superior to a peer group. Also, a lack of esteem or a sense of failure for not reaching unrealistic expectations.

Ever hear of this?
