What do you do if you accidentally sleep in on a day you’re supposed to go to work?
I’m pretty sure I’ve been marked as a no show now, I don’t know what to do. Wtf do I say? I’m like an hour late if I still go in

1)Be honest unless you know you will be penalised in which case.....

@tallpowerhouseblonde They will expect her to go to the dr for a checkup to make sure she will be fine to return to work on monday as well as a dr note saying so.

@NativeOregonian Here in England the first week is self certified.No doctor visit requirements until after that.My second answer was meant in a part humourous way but I know as a fact that self certified sick leave gets abused rotten.

@tallpowerhouseblonde Here in the states too many have abused calling out sick, which is why more and more employers demand a doctor's note even one time. I only called out sick once in five years and was still expected to get a dr note.

@NativeOregonian I do understand that,but also here it is hard to get a dr appointment for a minor ailment in a week we have to wait longer.Doctors are already overworked here.

@NativeOregonian Company management catch out many,they always in the end get caught out.Instant dismissal can be applied and written warnings can be given out for sick leave and poor attendance which includes being late,which is why some take sick when they over sleep.
