@SW-User You must! But make sure you wait until you finally get yourself to Cape Cod in the summer and attend the annual Cape Cod Chowder Fest. This is a contest to see who can make the best chowder on the Cape and you will get to sample many recipes. It is worth planning a trip around it.

And, btw, ordering [b][big]New England[/big][/b] Clam Chowder any place other than New England is a crime punishable by permanent banishment from New England.

And lastly, do not be fooled by that gawd-awful mess referred to as "Manhattan Clam Chowder"! It is not even similar and is totally disgusting. :)

It's usually held in June in Hyannis at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. There's music and different chowder stations setup by all the best restaurants on the Cape and a winner is declared at the end of the day. ;)

@mad205039 Yes, Legal's chowder is "pretty good" ... but if you want to taste authentic fresh New England clean chowder then come to the Cape in June and check out the Chowder Fest. 😁
