Yeah. It's definitely an odd feeling.

I knew he'd been sick for a long time, and his son had posted on Facebook asking for prayers. Once he passed, I thought about attending the service, but decided against it as we hadn't communicated in about 15 years, and I wasn't taking time off work, so I decided to remember him as he was.

@DreamyCrush I'm sorry :(
@SW-User Thank you.
SW-User
Yes, probably deeper than that expression can really say. My ex lost her father to cancer, and of course in 8 years of our relationship I had grown very attached to him.
SW-User
@SW-User I am really sorry to read this. That must have been hard for you.
SW-User
@SW-User Kind words, it was - but it also helped me learn to move on, that there was nothing I could change, and watching it unfold in a way reminded me I had a kind heart, loving, as she does (ex) and those things don't always find themselves together. In a way I lost two at once, but that's not equal to their loss.

@SW-User 🤗
A momentary shock...yes. Then felt absolutely nothing. She did some very wicked things to me.

Yes, 😔it makes me think of my own mortality and then some memory of them will come to mind. I also just recently lost a friend, her service is coming up soon. 💙
SW-User
@Peaches I am so sorry my friend :(
Peaches · F
@SW-User Thanks, 🥰I appreciate that.
SW-User
Yes. It felt like I missed something 🙁
SW-User
@SW-User It does. And even though I was/am completely over him, it still has shaken me.

@SW-User I just realized that such a thing is common on social media. I’ve heard of a user on here that I used to know passed away not too long ago. I’m still weird out just from thinking about it.
SW-User
@SW-User Yeah! Exactly! For some reason, it's just a strange feeling.
SW-User
No. Not yet.

Besides family... I’ve had mentors and old bosses pass away. That’s sad enough.
SW-User
@SW-User Yeah. It's just so strange. Also, I will never really know exactly what happened, so that's odd also.

No.

I don't catch up with them or feel nostalgic so I don't even know whether they exist or not
SW-User
@midnightsun Oh OK.
SW-User
Yes and strangely it's his birthday tomorrow
SW-User
@SW-User That always gets to me.
SW-User
@SW-User I was surprised how much it saddened me..I suppose it stirs up the past
Yes. Someone I dated in my 30s (after I was widowed) who was in his mid-50s at the time recently passed away at age 73. 😳
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard The man I just learned about was quite a bit older than me. He died at 58. So young :(
