@kingofhearts while growing up one can receive a number of "sweetheart" kisses but there's usually one that stands out as the "smokin' one" ... the one that makes your toes curl and puts you on a different plane of existence.

I had one like that when I was around 14. The boy was 16 and the best friend of my older brother. I always liked him while growing up. He was smart, and kind, funny and very good looking. Up to this point I was like his adopted kid sister.

He picked me up in his truck when he saw me walking home from the library. We picked up some ice cream cones on the way home and stopped by a lake shore to eat the cones. I was sitting close to him on a bench seat and we were laughing and having a good time chatting when suddenly...we could both feel this wave of heat and electricity between us. It was like being suddenly transported out of the world we were in and free falling in a parachute dive from 5000 feet.

He stammered out how beautiful I was to him.

In a flash his arm was arm around me in an embrace. I gave myself wholeheartedly into returning his kisses.

I know this sounds overused but I did feel ... for the first time beyond imagination and daydreams ... what the stories meant by "romantic passion."

I was a changed gal after that !!
