Why do some older people on here feel the need to use age as an excuse to gain superiority over younger people?

@Peacefulpanda Lol I don't need to get older to understand that. And I'm not talking about when it is the right thing to take age into account. I'm talking about people who use age just to step on someone younger

@SW-User I was just being cheeky. I know exactly what you mean.. bottom line it's not respectful.. and you'll find people who do that just want to feel *above* other people in general, and aren't really open to other people's perspectives if they don't mirror their own. I'm sure they do other insensitive things to other groups in different ways even if they are of an equivilant age.
