Why do some older people on here feel the need to use age as an excuse to gain superiority over younger people?

@NativeOregonian I know not all of you do, that's why I said "some". And definitely I think younger people who behave poorly need to be put in their place by proper teaching from older people

@SW-User And vice versa, if someone older is not acting their age, a younger person should call them out on it.

@SW-User It always came easy for me, my mother's second husband used to beat on me and I would fight back, he was also a foot taller and at least 150 pounds heavier, but I never backed down.
