When you have blood taken, how many tries does it take them to either find a vein or get blood from it?

I had five needles before they were able to get blood out of me today

Only one poke most of the time. I always ask for them to take it from the top of my hands where I have a lot of veins.

@SW-User the first four tries were from my arm. They finally got it from my hand.
