No offense but I think it’s such a waste. Imagine how many people the church could have helped if they just built a church half as magnificent.

Well it has been under construction for over 130 years. And besides, it will pay for itself with the attraction it has. @SimplyTracie
@NenaRussa you dont have to justify $$ by saying that - it is a beautiful church

@NenaRussa I wonder what Jesus would think about people profiting from His church. (If it is His Church)

Again, no offense.

I watch and see elaborate church building being built in the poorest countries in the world while people living nearby are starving.

We are not suffering in Barcelona as much as you might be in the States. @SimplyTracie
@NenaRussa 🤣

@NenaRussa That’s awesome for you folks.
And yes, unfortunately, we have lotsa poverty here in the states. So much homelessness.

But I don’t think it’s funny. Actually, it’s kinda sad, Marmee.
@SimplyTracie not laughing at the suffering - just how it is assumed that poverty stricken countries think they have it better.

Are you referring to Spain or the US? @MarmeeMarch
@NenaRussa both actually
NenaRussa · 26-30, F
It was alarming to learn that I had to purchase international insurance before traveling to the USA, so in case of an emergency it would not put my family in debt. @MarmeeMarch
@NenaRussa I dont get it - so ? - what does that even mean?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@NenaRussa Who required you to purchase the insurance? Your government?
NenaRussa · 26-30, F
@SimplyTracie My parents. I was going for 10 months.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@NenaRussa Gotcha.
