Hmm, I remember when religious people thought the Earth was flat and the sun rotated around it. Well, damn, some of them still do.

@ISpeakTheTruth Actually pretty much everyone was religious back then, at least publicly, if they didn't want to become a pile of ash. I guess it doesn't necessarily need a correction, lol.
Should've said, anyway, [i]people who reject/ed scientifically observed facts over religious dogmas[/i], when referred to those who kept sustaining it after Galileo's discovery; those who lived before probably didn't have ways to prove either geocentrism or heliocentrism.

@ISpeakTheTruth How does it void it? He's been imprisoned and basically forced to drop his thesis otherwise he'd have been sentenced to death; and as I said, everyone who wanted to live had to be Catholic, at least publicly, that time.
