In Iran we don't have a unique national dress... but we have so many depending on which part... I will share some here

Kurdish dress NorthWest of Iran

Bakhtiari dress (nomads of Soudern Iran)

Ajerbaijani dress (far Northwest)

@Soossie I love the first green dress. And you can never go wrong with the red one. These are some very striking outfits
@ReneeT thank you... I have a couple of the first green one in other colors as my mom is Kurdish.. we have so many more.. we are an ancient civilization and the part of the identity of different cultures in Iran is their traditional dresses...

I think that is such a wonderful thing to be a part of. Here on the western shores there is not much of an identity. It seems to be more of a fashion thing that changes constantly. I try to keep up but it's a losing battle. Are they more for special occasions or do you wear them often?@Soossie
@ReneeT

I only wear them if I go to Kurdish weddings.... maybe once in ten years.... lol

@Soossie

That's great. I love what they represent. Traditions seem to be dying out more and more.
@ReneeT

Thank you Renee... you are right about traditions..
