Why do many Americans think it's cute for their Children, mainly daughters, to have bad attitudes and act like divas ?

My mom's from England, and she says that it's much more noticible here than it is in England, though she can see it there too. I don't think much on it honestly. But she says that it seems to be because a lot of Americans (mostly richer ones I guess) associate 'spoiled' with 'succesful' and 'attitude' with 'confidence'. At least in the area I used to visit my best friend, it definitely seemed like the parents let their kids act like that because they thought it made their family look better or richer or something

@ISpeakTheTruth She tends to notice anything that she'd consider rude very, very quickly haha. But yeah, I think it makes sense
