Tell me again how there is a God when a person has to lose a son and a father in the same year?

My beliefs are not representative of mainstream religion but.. if we believe that we are all part of eternity, born of stardust, temporary manifestations in this world of something greater, overseen by something even more infinite, then what is our life time compared to our eternity? It feels important and big, as does every day to a 5 year old, but to an 'adults' time frame it is as nothing. To a kid a skinned knee or broken toy are shattering, to an adult we may love the kid, empathize and want to make it better, we may help the kid up or not, but they are not as impactful. To our frame a lifetime is everything, these 10, 50, 100 years mean everything. Stepping back and putting that against our millennia, against eternity... That's just how I view things though when bad things happen in life. If that helps you too, great, if not I'm sorry and just pass it by. Hang in there
