How does one ask family to see if they’d be willing to donate a kidney to another family member?

I mean everyone already knows the persons kidney has failed. His condition is getting progressively worse and not many know that but know he’s on dialysis and looks like he’s getting worse with time.

So how does one ask? If they already know if they wanted to they’d have offered right?

I don't see where asking individually would encourage any one of them to help. OTOH you could send a letter out to the whole family mentioning your brothers condition and asking if anyone knows of someone that would be willing to donate.

Sadly too many die while waiting on the transplant list. A friends daughter recently passed while waiting. She had been on the list for ten years after her first donated kidney failed several years after she received it.

If you aren't designated as a donor on your drivers license...make sure you sign up.

And be careful out there when you are riding your 'donorcycle'...

@Threepio due to my rare condition and the unknown risk of pawudoAcromegaly possibly being passed on to recipients - my organs are being donated to science. Once they harvest and study what they need to for the advancement of information regarding my condition- my bones shall be cremated and given to my husband.
@KaysHealingPath I cannot donate a kidney either = I've had a few stones....

I should have reworded my last two statements in the original post to indicate that they were aimed at the general public...
