Do you like filling out handfuls of forms to get anything done?

Like enrolling in a school or medical forms to go to a new doctor or dentist? I hate it, they want so damned much information, it was so much simpler 10+ years ago to do the same things. And when you have to do it online it makes it a lot harder...have to make an account, create a username, a password....and then it signs you out, you have to call to get a password to log back in....and to sign up for payments you have to create yet another account, username, & passwords...what a hassle.

I know it...I tried, too, apply for an increase in funds online. I hit the wrong key three letters in - and I was told "Not valid". What's more, the stupid site wouldn't let me correct it.Now or ever.

I tried longhand. It was eight months and three separate applications before I was told I "didn't qualify".

All that work for NOTHING!

That's one thing I don't understand, at all. We have access to such great technology, can talk to people in the other side of the world in milliseconds, doo all sorts of things never thought possible even 5 years ago...

Yet, we can't figure out how to have an information sharing network for basic services so we don't have to fill damn forms for each different basic service every damn time >.<

@SW-User It wears me out. Unlike paper forms, if you don’t have information at hand and have to go somewhere to retrieve it, you have to sign out and go get the information, and then sign back in and a lot of times it wouldn’t take my information. I’d have to call and get a new username and password....exhausting. And if you want to make payments you don’t know until you’ve clicked an option that there is a fee to use credit cards but no fee to pay from the checking account, and you have to go back and fill in more information...

@cherokeepatti Yet, facebook full of posts about how some cousin's bowel movement was off, photos of food on instagram, gossip on twitter and so no seem to all work and share data just fine, like clockwork or a well greased machine.

Actually important services...nope, too costly/not worth it.

It really shows where our interests, as a society, really lie x.x

@SW-User I don’t mind filling out some forms but too much info plus the hassle of trying to get it right and having a deadline to do it.

@Dianna Had the secretary to look at everything before I closed it this time. Thought it was complete about a month ago and never got a call till Friday about it. So it was stressful since Friday was the deadline..they extended it for a week for everyone for some reason. I have a feeling I wasn’t the only one.

I called downstate when I didn't get results the first time around and my application was submitted a month before. Do you know that idiot who answered the phone admitted that they received it (two weeks after I applied for it) but they "hadn't worked on it yet"? I am nobody special, but if a lack of personnel is the trouble in getting forms worked on when they come in, why don't they HIRE more people to do the work required?

When I worked in an office, we had sufficient personnel hired to do the paperwork and we were required to pitch in when one's work got heavy. This went with answering phones or making calls. The paperwork was heavy, computers or no, and I often went home drained and tired. But we got the WORK DONE.

@SpandauBallet Good Gravy, they are asking questions I’d never imagined a school would ask...asking for copies of so many forms. If they’d tell you up front everything you need it would have made it so much easier
