Is Quora brainier than SW?

I see the same old questions I do here. They're maybe 20% more eloquent and informative- but that's all. Not brainier.

There is indeed a big overlap in the questions and I suspect some people here use Quora as a source for their questions.

There's often a big difference in the way people answer questions on the other site versus SW. On Quora, people typically give serious answers to serious questions, from what I've seen. On this site, it seems like every other person is trying to be a stand-up comedian on most of the questions, regardless of their seriousness.

@Rutterman I do try to be comical here. If the question warrants it I'm serious.

@ImKelsey That's my approach as well. You just have to use good judgment as to what's appropriate with a given question.

Thank you for BA.

I find the answers to some questions there more elaborate and informative compared to the ones here.
Everyone on there is an expert on everything somehow & has the energy to write 12 paragraphs.

@DarlingSelah Sounds pretentious!

That's why I ask stupid questions here most of the time.

@SW-User It's a big dung pile.
SW-User
@ImKelsey reddit have real 'questions' and real answers unlike this do you like pepsi or coke shit

@SW-User I'll give it a second look, but I doubt anything of relevance is asked.

Never been on the site

Definitely more formal.
But I would say the purpose of Quora is different than SW. Quora isn't really about connecting with people.
