There is no large scale force trying to deny you happiness as a the world at large doesn't care. Which means that you have no barriers between you and happiness other than those you create for yourself and those created by those around you. Beyond those local barriers is an open world of everything that you could want. You've just got to get past the negativity and go find what you're looking for.
