@Tomorrow My niece inherited a first edition signed copy of Samuel Clemens. (I tried to hide my green envy ) I adore old books. I once had a swede cover, with gold lettering book of Lord Tenneson poetry.

I see where you would be jealous! Why did you "once have" and what happened to the Tenneson poetry? I have a few signed random books, which are nothing special. But I do have a small leather bound book of Emily Dickinson works. Very old and fragile. It is lovely but I don't read it anymore for fear of damaging the pages.

@Tomorrow In my old hippy days when I was a bit too much the long haired hippy, few people were interested in hiring us, I started selling at swap meets to pay rent.

One week I was a bit stoned on acid and somehow packed several of the rare ones into a regular box of books. Arriving home I discovered the error. I just wanted to cry.

I had some incredible things. The campus of Mount St. Mary's has a beautiful mansion and used to help one of the nuns do some painting etc.

Of course the nuns didn't have cash on hand. so they paid me with original MGM costumes, props, and other nifty things.

The costumes were labled with the name of the movie and the stars name who wore it.

People flocked to my selling space attracted to the blazing color of satin, lace and sequins. Iwas quite a site there!
