Vinyls and retro video games. I haven't been to one in years though. I'll have to hit some up over the summer.

Nimbus · M
We call them 'car boot sales' which is strange as there are no car boots for sale :)

Kitchen stuff, I love having a well stocked kitchen.
AbbeyRhode · F
Vintage cookware and dishes, or small angel statues for my Mom, but I'm open to possibilities. I found a gorgeous lamp for my room, a new slow cooker, and a new bread maker, at garage sales.
AbbeyRhode · F
@cherokeepatti Same here, some people put out really good stuff, for practically nothing! :)
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AbbeyRhode I’ve gotten some bargains. A pair of Cutco shears for $2 that looked like new...I was floored when I saw how much they are selling for even online on EBay...
AbbeyRhode · F
@cherokeepatti Wow, nice! :)
One of my best finds was a cute little end table, that turned out to be an antique. It was in mint condition, and my Mom flipped over it. She had had an identical one years ago. We got it for $15 dollars! :)

Wooden picture frames for my paintings. Dishes and pans for camping.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@cherokeepatti If I get them at yard sales I can let frame go with the painting. Customers like that!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SweetMae Frames are expensive if you get them at Hobby Lobby to have a painting framed...of course they add the matting cost too, it adds up.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@cherokeepatti It sure does.
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
Anything I can use in my sweepstaking hobby, like envelopes, blank cards, stickers, etc.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
[@that’s a good place to get them, sometimes people clean out that stuff and sell it cheap.
Nanoose · 61-69, M
Ya I always look for old vinyl records. Cheers and happy weekend!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nanoose there’s one guy who started when he was young, hit every garage sale and riding his bike to them, he’d always ask if they had vinyl records for sell. I believe he has a business buying and selling them, haven’t seen him in a few years but I don’t go to as many sales as I used to.

I was at an auction where thinks could sell from 20p (a quarter) up to about a fiver ($6) occasionally things went for more money but it was when they were obviously more valuable a working petrol lawn mower for instance. Anyway these Iron Maiden picture disks turned up and you can see the bidders checking them out online, sold for about £250 in the end! I really feel guilty about my fake site where I put up what I'll buy these things for, having said that I really appreciate the money I made on them!
Not usually. When I know what it is I'm looking for, I will have found it.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@PhoenixPhail yeah, I look around and see if they got what I like.
JustinOnTheRoad · 31-35, M
Call it an “estate sale” Patti, and you will garner more attention.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@JustinOnTheRoad My neighbor has organized one for the house behind me. They have a lot of traffic since it started but the prices are so damned high, the house and every nook & cranny filled with stuff. Never saw an estate sale like this one.
Books and yarn... a girl can never have too much of either of these items...

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@JohnOinger yeah I’ve been reading about that on Twitter. I’m wondering what all he knew about Hillary’s stuff she doesn’t want talked about in court.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@cherokeepatti theres a conspiracy theory that anyone close To Hillary That She orders hits on peoples death I wonder if she had something to do with her brothers
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@JohnOinger I don’t know. I heard he was involved in the Haiti scam...not exactly an upstanding citizen but considering the family, father was a Chicago mobster.
