Does anyone else dislike compliments?

Even when they’re harmless and intentions are good, I rarely like being complimented. Compliments on a skill of some sort are okay (though I don’t hear those often), but people commenting on my appearance in some way makes me uncomfortable. Maybe because I don’t believe what they say, or maybe because I doubt the sincerity (i.e. they’re just saying that to get something).
I also don’t give compliments often - it always feels too awkward.
Does anyone relate to this? Just curious.
