@dumpstermeow I'd call it shortsighted or maybe narrow-minded.
The reason being that you often don't know what a person is capable of until they do it.
Look at how many women lived perfectly normal and happy lives, had a few kids, then end up with post partum depression and eventually snap and kill their kids.
