@firefall All very interesting! I have to give you some credit for the Middle Eastern part. You don't really run into too many people who are interested in Middle Eastern history. I forgot to mention that I also love studying Native American history

@BlackBloodDemon Well I found Assyrian & Egyptian history fascinating, and the whole Ottoman/Safavid Persian thing was ... intense :)
I got hooked on Native American history by the book [i]1491[/i], I admit it was a total eye-opener for me about the pre-Columbian civilizations.

@firefall Oh yea definitely! When I took an ancient history class, it was weird to see some people from the Bible come up. I never imagined having discussions about Nebuchadnezzar outside of church.
And I'll definitely pick up that 1491 book.
