This is always good. Evil vs immoral- subjective vs objective. What sets the standard?.

Any takers?

The Word of God ,or His commandments written on the hearts of those who love Him are the standard by which all men shall be judged ,,
Many say I am under the blood ,I am saved by Grace
but they love to misquote Paul ,and totally ignore Christ
Who says 120 times in the New Testament
Keep my Commandments ,,but the church of today teach's that is works
Paul settled that ,,all things are lawful for me ,but is it good for me to do ?
Faith without works is dead ,works without faith is dead

And to teach Gods law ended at the cross when Christ made it clear heaven and earth would pass away before that would happen

He was told His mother and brothers were there to see Him
and He asked "who is my mother ,my brothers "?
"they who do the will of the Father "

John went one step further ,,when He said
1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Now I know people neglect to understand this is also part of the prophecy that exposes the beast who will force by law the children of God to choose a side ,the seal of God or the mark of the beast

Who will not be allowed into the holy city ?

Rev 22 : 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

I was rebuked recently and told blessed and saved are not the same thing ,,I will let him work that out with God
he should study more and do less rebuking

Gods law is my standard ,,if I stumble I have an advocate who reads the intentions of my heat
know my godly sorrow when I repent is real ,,and I am as if I never sinned

There is not apples and oranges with God ,Gray area's ,
You are either hot or cold ,,,,God hates Luke Warm
@rckt148 Of course the fulfillment of the law supersedes the 613 Levitical laws, and the fulfillment of the law is.......
How do we express that love?
How do we express that love?
How do we express that love?

@puck61 Christ simplified the law because he was always asked
Which one of the commandments is the greatest ?
So He made it simple ,,all of them are love
Have no other god except the Most High God
Love Him with all your heart and you will keep the first 4

Its funny ,the only one we seem to think ended at the cross
Daniel warned us a man was going to change it ..
And God said (Actually Christ )Remember it ,,,and keep it Holy ,,,the only day he himself made holy and observed himself ,,at creation and ever 7th day of his life as a boy/man

Daniel 7:25 King James Version (KJV)
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Did Christ mention one time to alter the laws ?
is there one verse anywhere that says to alter laws written in stone after the cross
Were the broken commandments important to God ?
They were put in an Ark ,,and what happened to anyone who touched the Ark ?
Laws written in stone ,,to show they are unchangeable ,
written by Christ with His own finger
Broken tablets placed in an Ark that couldn't be touched
and everywhere the ark went Gods people were undefeated

The second is like the first ,,
Love your brother as you love yourself ,,

Did He remove one ? or simplify them ?

I have books I have written trying to make the mark of the beast simple ,,,but its not simple
to a carnal mind it is impossible to explain

Romans 8:6 King James Version (KJV)
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 8:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So God lead me to this ,,

Ecclesiastes 12: 9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.

10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.

11 The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

If we live them .not only trying to keep them to be saved
If we are converted we can understand strong meat

Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

But with teaching the word of God ,we are held more accountable ,,this is actually a warning

James 3:1 King James Version (KJV)
3 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

I like this translation better ,its a little easier for the carnal minded to understand

James 3:1 Amplified Bible (AMP)
The Tongue Is a Fire
3 Not many [of you] should become teachers [serving in an official teaching capacity], my brothers and sisters, for you know that we [who are teachers] will [a]be judged by a higher standard [because we have assumed greater accountability and more condemnation if we teach incorrectly].
If there is no grace, then I am condemned. Those standards are far too high for me. Let me bask in my baptist false sense of eternal security.

@puck61 Grace means unearned mercy ,,it is not a license to sin
If we sin willfully
1john 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. the born again are buried in Christ ,,they are dead but yet we live ,but not us but Christ who loves in us

They do not sin willfully just to say "I am under Grace "

They need to hear the word of the Lord and take it to heart
And you may think to rebuke one who continues to attempt to lead Gods sheep to stray is not love ,,I loved him enough to tell him the truth ,,even if it cased everyone who loves me to turn against me ,,,I love God ,,His Children will know His voice and know its His word not mine ,,I am just repeating it ,,

Romans 6 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
@rckt148 You almost seem to carry a indicting tone. Are you Apostolic Holiness and prepared to tell me that you live up to the standards you've made note of? 1st, 2,nd and 3rd John either convict or condemn depending on whether our faith is love or a desperate search for a fire escape. The best you can hope for is a sense of peace when you prepare to meet the vast unknown. The bride does things to please her husband out of love, not fear. That is the ideal spiritual dynamic. We live in a world where everyone has been offered the gift of atonement, and atheists and holy rollers both know the same Jesus. As I have said, dogma repels while works attract. You can stand in the median and shout or you can dig wells and build hospitals and schools, but regimental dogma and threats fortified by excerpts from ancient manuscripts are Solomon's description of vanity. I like how James sums up the meat of the matter neatly.
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

@puck61 Actually I do my best to live every single one of the commandments as if I say I love God and I don't ,that makes me a liar ,,do I fall short ,yes I do
but I also repent when I know I have done something to displease Him ,He is my advocate ,not my Mom who made excuses for me

I put myself out there for a reason ,,
If you see sin in me ,so does my Father ,,I do care of you see me as a hypocrite ,but you are not the one judging the intent of my heart ,,He is

Paul is commonly misquoted a and for good reason
Things he said to one church ,but something else to another are where the pick and choose comes in and becomes a problem
When he was speaking to Rome ,at the time he seen no major problems ,,where others he seen no growth and he rebuked them ,,do you not remember he left Timothy and Silas behind ?
This is from the reformation Bible ,,maybe it can help you better understand
And I do not think myself anything
I am but filthy rags without Him
I was a preacher that God called out and told me I opposed him ,,I taught this very same stuff everyone here thinks they are teaching me ,,most of these verses I quote from the hear ,,,I spent 7 years every waking moment in study
when I was not in study I was teaching ,,when I was not teaching I was preaching ,,and God said it was all in vain
I was not born again ,,it was all book knowledge ,,
The way I handled it opposed Him ,,,and His law did not end at the cross ,,He proved it can be lived out by a man
He has no more then we do ,,He called on God ,,we are suppose to have Him living inside us

@rckt148 but what about my original question? I believe evil is objective and morality is subjective. What do you think?
rckt148 · 61-69, M
@puck61 I think when you are actually are born again
You will not need man made words to figure it out
You will go to the throne of Grace and ask the author to tell you what He thinks ,and you won't lean to your own understanding anymore ,
I like speaking with Atheist ,most know the Bible better then Christians ,,but they also show me where I am lacking
As far as how I testify ,God shows me where I need work and when I overcome one thing ,He shows me something new to work on ,,,On the day I speak the last call for Him (not just me ,all the members of the body will all have the same message)
He will put the word in our mouth so no one will doubt who is speaking ,so we are not to try and rehearse any of that .
but as to men judging my fruit ,,
If they see holes in my armor ,so does satan
when we lean to what God says our morality is sharpened
and our opinion or Objectivity no longer matters

My Gay friends (who choose to keep being my friend even when I say things out of love they don't like )say to me
Brother Rick you are so close minded ,do you not think God evolves with the times ?
NO I DON'T ,He knows the beginning to the end and if you study His prophets will prove that to you .
He is the same Yesterday ,Today ,and Forever

If He is a righteous and Holy God ,and He has ever struck one person down ,told Moses to stone them ,marked them and cut them off from His people ,,He is no respecter of persons
Grace is not giving you a free pass to be allowed to do the things He killed them for ,,Grace is mercy that its being deferred ,,You are being given a chance to repent ,,that is your Grace Period ,,He is waiting until the Day of the Lord to separate the wheat from the Chaff
And if you are not converted ,choose to remain carnal
You are not the bride ,,the bride is New Jerusalem
His who have been Redeemed from a world of sin no matter if they were born a Jew or a Gentile ,now they will all be the same ,,
who washed their garments in the blood of the lamb
Who kept the Commandments of God ,and the faith in Christ
