Goats are useful too - advantage is they'll eat weeds and bramble and just about anything else. Airports use them (O'Hare in Chicago in particular).
With 1 acre of grounds, my son estimates one sheep should be enough, but maybe you'd want one for backup? (In case your main sheep/goat is sick or hung over.

@TyriHansen I don’t know if one sheep would be enough. Goats would probably be better.
