When will mass shootings not be a regular occurrence in America?

I often feel ashamed of being an American. I'm ashamed I live in the same country with people that won't blink an eye when so many people are gunned down, but will freak out when you try to control the problem.

Why are we like this? When will this stop?

Either when they get rid of the masses, get rid of the shooting or get rid of the America :p

My guess is the masses will be the first ones going when Supervolcano (and it's ash and debris) at Yellow Stone erupts and destroys a good part of America.
