Those are called Grumman llv's- long life vehicles built for extreme duty conditions of nonstop driving, stop and go driving and continuously being shutoff and restarted many times a day.

@Dave2001 the post office has been using these things since the late 80s after they switched from jeeps. They are selling off this entire type of Grumman though since they aren't made anymore and it's becoming harder to maintain the fleet. I believe Ford is the next vehicle they're going to be using because they're the only company that bid on a contract for replacement vehicles, but I don't know if that contract was finalized or not. Idk if they even have a vehicle being made yet like this 🤷🏻♂️
