WWE fans who’s ready for Bill Goldberg return June 7th?

And who do you want to see him wrestle? I don’t normally watch wrestling but I will watch for Goldberg. I grew up watching him and watched him on his last run in 2016-2017

Honestly I'm not ready for them to use endless amounts of has beens...

The WWE under Vince and lack of competition has forgotten how to grow superstars through good storylines and writing, hell they have no good storylines and writing anymore to build anyone up, so no matter who they use, it will fail in the long run.

You got two of the best in AJ Styles and Seth Rollins and almost no hype going into a PPV.

Also tons of talented super stars with no storylines and not being used but Shane McMahon in not one but two, you wrongly beat up my dad gimmicks which have been totally shit, especially since one he the one that beat up on the other guys dad on Monday and then has to play the victim card that his dad got beat up on Tuesday.

And yet you got some of the best tag teams in the world, sitting backstage doing absolutely nothing... or taking pictures of each other shaving each other backs.

They're not putting the wrestling first, they have no quality storylines, it horrible product, and having Goldberg back isn't gonna change that.

Only thing that might, is

1) AEW forcing Vince to change like WCW did, but the WWE lucked out in that when WCW got on top, they started immediately making some horrible moves, which AEW might not.

2) HHH taking over control, as he's running the NXT storylines and those are amazing in comparison. WWE has a chance but not if Vince continues of his believe that the story lines are perfect when they're total crap and everyone else but him seems to know it.

What Goldberg does is opens the door for a Dream match Goldberg vs undertaker? Who wouldn’t want to see that match and since there both has been a the winner wouldn’t matter to much. It would be very entertaining 6-8 minute hard hitting match @Viper

@marriedplus3

On paper that sounds great, but their styles are completely opposite, so I don't know how it'll work out. Goldberg only having a couple of great hard hitting moves and needing a faster pace and shorter match, while Taker style is a slower more story telling style.

Plus all of their recent matches have been substandard other than Goldberg vs a great athlete in Brock Lesnar and that's because they went to Goldberg's style of fast pace, best moves, short match.

But yes seeing Goldberg hit the spear and then seeing Taker plainly sit up and Goldberg saying WTF with a shocked look on his face would be quite a moment.

Though hopefully they have different matches planned as well... Seth Rollins might be an interesting matchups for Goldberg, he doesn't have the power but he certainly can do face pace and hard hitting.

Plus seeing Goldberg spear Lars Sullivan might be fun... but that's because I'm too tired of Lars in his current role.

To me it depends on how long Goldberg is sign for. If it’s a 6 month deal he needs to be booked in matches in which Goldberg can win and dominate. Then at the end of his run have him put over someone that needs a boost like Braun strowman or Samoa Joe or Roman But if it’s a one and done match deal then it needs to be either the undertaker or John Cena needs to be a dream match people want to see. I personally hope it’s a 6 month deal where Goldberg squashes a few people and puts a younger talent over then retires but yes I’m excited because I’m a Goldberg fan@Viper

I don't dislike the older guys, I'm just tired of their inability and/or unwillingness to take the time to build up new stars and have good storylines.

I like Goldberg but he's quite limited in what you can do with him, you basically hit the only two good, for sure, ways I know to use him.

Though if he just squashes everyone, then will it feel like the same thing as last time?

But yeah he can be a very good side distraction, but they seriously need to build up some core young guys, for the future and get good storylines or AEW is gonna pass them.

I agree that’s why if it’s a 6 month deal. He comes out squashes a few people to make him look strong and unstoppable then a younger talent comes and beats him. You can really build a story line here. And he can do a few things besides a spear and jackhammer. I remember him lifting people above his head. And him gorilla slamming them. I bet he could still do that. I hope they can build a story here and not waste this opportunity @Viper
Viper · M
@marriedplus3 Yeah he could do that. I just really hope they keep they keep the top belts off the part-timers, or only very very VERY short runs if they do get them, cus Lesnar's run with one basically killed it. No one cares about the universal title right now, even with two of the best guys fighting never it.

But I figure they're gonna work Roman Reigns in with Goldberg, and maybe Lesnar and Taker in some form.

I agree Goldberg shouldn’t hold a title. And really he doesn’t need to in order to be a big draw@Viper
