Why do some people on SW talk about the US as if it's the only country in the world?

@SW-User Talking about yourself or the country that dominates world culture (for better or worse spans a continent, put a man on the moon invented the internet we ARE NOW USING, whose 300 million people buy most of the books printed in the world and has made all the important decision in the world since 1945?

Hate to upset you with simple facts but no matter how much you wish some cultural and political powerhouse like Canada or Bolivia or New Zealand will take it's place well good luck with that!
